Dreaming of the Summer at the end of Summer??

Yeap! That is exactly what I am doing today. Because, you see, my summer hasn't started yet. MY summer is what I am calling June to September this year. MY summer is the last long period I will be in the United States for probably 2 years. Its sad, but that's how it is going to work. This is the path in life that I have chosen to take. I will NOT and will NEVER ever say say that I am going to stay in Chile permanently because right now it may be hard for certain people to cut the cord, (I won't mention names. uhem..MIL...uhem...Ro...oops I mentioned names!) but I have this feeling that once the freedom is there, there's no going back.

Back to MY summer. I will start this in well, technically the Spring in the US. June 1st I plan on flying to Minnesota. If Ro has his effing visa by then, then I plan on falling asleep on his shoulder when we are 30,000 feet above the ground, if not, then I will be falling asleep on myself I guess. That is why this is MY summer. I am married, but this summer will be mostly for me regardless of Ro's lack of responsiblity and his laziness in getting his visa. The first important thing I will be doing in MY summer is of course my yourger brother's high school graduation. (I probably will never call him my little brother because he's not littler than me, just younger.) Anyways this activity will be on the 5th of June, and his grad party will be on the 6th of June and then I have the grad party of my cousin Jacob on the 7th of June. The most important day of MY summer of course happens to be the 8th of June!! There's absolutely no point whatsoever of being in Chile on the 8th of June this year! You only turn 21 once! And turning 21 in Chile probably would suck. I wouldn't know, nor do I want to know! Then I have one of my favorite events on the 13th of June. Tour de Soo!!!! Yeah I bet you don't know what that is! I'll explain of course. The Tour de Soo is a bike ride. From my parent's house to my Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike's house. And of course it is on the Soo Line. (An old railway now converted into a biking, walking, rollarblading, snowmobiling, and abosolutely NO ATVs trail. I have only done the Tour once. The first year they did it. It was great. My aunt ziptied her ipod to the front of her bike with some little speakers. A couple people we pulling those kiddy carts, of course without kids. They each had a cooler full of fun in them. Yeah. We looked pretty damn cool biking in cutoffs, helmetless, and holding a Mike's Hard in one hand and the handle bars in the other. My favorite was when a "serious" biker would ride by. This kind with them butttight padded in the ass shorts, a helmet that is pointed in the back, a special bike that probably costed more than I make in a month, and a stunned look when they see us pedaling away drinking. Which by the way is illegal. Anyways, a bbq follows the Tour and of course more drinking and fun! June 19th is when I think I am having a party for my B-day, a combined one with my cousin who is one day younger than me. The day after that, if I live will be my cousin Samantha's grad party. The a picnic at my grandparent's place for Father's day. And before I know it, June will be over!

In July of course there will be fireworks and whatnot around the 4th. I'm kind of happy is falls of a Saturday this year!! I don't have much planned for July, yet. Hopefully I will be able to put in a lot of hours working in July. One Sunday in July is the family picnic at the lake, but I don't know what one it is yet. That will be fun! I can't wait to swim in the lakes!! :o) Holdingford Days is in July too, so there will be a street dance and it'll be fun to see some old faces!

I suppose I should say that I am going to go through all my stuff and compact it more, but I will probably not do this even if I want to or my mom wants me to, I will push it off and probably not even do it at all...that's just me for ya! August. August August August. What will happen in August? At the moment, I am not sure yet. There are a certain few things booked for August, but a certain girl and her husband have an empty bank account and my secret stash disappear last time I was in the states. SO if our original plans for August 8th don't happen, it will only be because of money. But that of course does not mean we can't go to Winnie!!! Ah Lake Winnibigoshish, yeah try and say it! Our annual camping trip! A camping trip that has taken place since I was about 6 or 7. Every single year this takes place, and I have not been there for 3 years!!! I love the place, it brings back memories and always gives us a chance to make new ones. I can't wait to take my husband on this trip. I can't wait to sleep in a tent, wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach below, and of course S'MORES!!! Mmmmmmm!! Roasting marshmellows to the perfect toasty tan and puffy all over deliciousness!! Melted Hershey's, graham crackers!!! My mouth is watering! Of course I am also looking forward to fishing. And eating the fresh fish! Mmmmmm!!! There will also be waterskiing, something I haven't done since I broke our old 70s wooden skis about 2 maybe it was even 3 years ago! And tubing behind the boat I can't wait!!
September, I don't have anything planned besides my cousin Aaron's wedding on the 19th. So I will probably work as much as I can so we have extra cash so we can get an apartment as soon as we get back to Chile. September will be a sad month. Ro and I will have to decide if we are going to leave Zoe in the US or take her with us. Of course me being selfish and loving her so much, I will want to bring her back here, but in the back of my mind, I know she is happy there in MN playing with Bailey all day everyday. By bringing her back here, I will be taking away her freedom. She won't have space to run around as much as she does in the US. I can't wait for MY summer!!! Ahhhh MY summer. Lipton ice tea, burgers on the grill, potato salad, and sweet corn....MY summer!

I love Lipton Iced Tea!! Its my favorite thing to drink in the summer. I bought a container of the instant stuff when I was in the US, but I drank it all. :(
