Spring and Changes

The weather here in Minnesota is amazing! I love Spring! And I haven't been in Minnesota for spring in a very very long time!! I love how big of a change it is here, in Santiago, I never really felt like there was that big of a change from winter to spring. Everything here has been going good. I only wish for more hours at work, but I am really am hoping that it will happen soon! I have been having fun with friends and family. This past weekend all the ladies on my dad's side went up to Duluth for Girl's Weekend. It landed on St. Patrick's Day which ended up being a lot of fun! We went to a nice Irish pub walking distance from our hotel and had a great time. They had a live Irish band and one of the kilted bagpipe players even let my aunt and cousin try to play bagpipes. It was of course hilarious and they barely made any noise at all!
In other news, Ro and I have decided that we are going to start the process to get him his visa to come to the US for good. So, with that comes tons of paperwork and research. Which I am currently supposed to be working, but have been screwing around on Facebook, Pinterest, and of course catching up on some blog reading. So, if I am not around posting, I am out enjoying this beautiful weather or working on visa stuff. I will however attempt to keep some updates about the process on here.

Geeez Time Flies!

So, I am back! Sorry for such a long absence, I have been busy enjoying life and job hunting. I have a job now here in MN, and I like it. Hopefully I will be getting more hours soon, but for now it at least pays the bills!!! I have been keeping myself busy here. I am living at home so I help keep this place clean. Which is not fun at all... I would rather have my own place to clean, but someday... I have a lot of projects going on to keep me busy also. I planted a cute little herb garden last month and everything has finally popped up!! So far the basil and cilantro are growing the best. I have also been crocheting away! I finished a plarn tote bag and a pair of slippers. I have also started a baby blanket for a friend in Chile that just found out she is having a baby and a cute little new born cocoon for my aunt who is having her first baby this year as well. I have been spending a lot of time with family and friends and just enjoying myself. I went up to Lake of the Woods fishing with my brother and 2 of his friends and his girlfriend. We had a good time! The last day we were up there we were caught in a blizzard on the lake, it was pretty scary! Driving a truck 4 miles out onto a lake in a white out is not on my to do list! We also had a nice blizzard around here 2 days ago! I love all the snow on the ground, but with the temp at 40 degrees it will be gone soon. Other than that I don't really have anything too interesting going on in my life. Ro and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day apart, he sent me a box with a cute little teddy bear in it, I sent him enough candy to give him a mouthful of cavities! I am starting to plan our next vacation, but can't decide where to go. All I know is that I am NOT going back to Chile. I am not ready to go back to visit. I also would rather go to a neutral place because then we don't have to feel obligated to go visit every single person we know within a 50 mile radius. I want the time to be spent just Ro and I. NO sharing with anyone else!!! Yes, I am a little bit selfish, I know this already. Other than that I don't have anything to report. My next blog should be a bit more exciting, I will try to share pics and patterns of my projects I am working on! Hope all is well with everyone reading this!!! Chauuuu!!!
