I could really go for some fresh warm chocolate chip cookies!!

I am so excited to go to MN now. I have Ro's ticket booked, in the end we are both flying Continental and we only have one flight without each other!! AND it's only the flight from MN to TX!!! So I will have to wait like 4 hours for Ro in Texas!! I am sooooo excited!!! The price was the only downside, honestly I wanna kick myself in the ass because I found different tickets where we would have been able to fly together for cheaper. We ended up paying $954 for my ticket and $1385 for Rodrigo's. Honestly I am pretty happy, my original thought was that we were going to be paying closer to 3G for the tickets!! But I can't complain!!!

Back to my chocolate chip cookies....mmmm with a nice big glass of cold Kemp 1% milk!!! YUMMMM!!!!!! Hopefully my mom will bake cookies with me a few times when I am home!!!!

Ooops....My Fault!!

Rodrigo's interview is NOT tomorrow, it's on Wednesday!
Well, at least we got the extra day. I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday about the interview. SO we have all day tomorrow to start getting nervous!! I just can't wait for it to be over!!

I guess that's all I have to say about that!!
Send any well wishes, prayers and good vibes our way!!!

WARNING!

Unless you have a lot of time on your hands...like me. Or you are one of those people that does not get addicted to things, never ever ever go to this website. AND never ever ever try playing this game. Unless you really really want to. I have been playing it for 3 hours!! 3 hours!!! What is wrong with me!?!?!? It's not even that good of a game. It's just one of those games where you think you are so smart and of course you can beat this level. You try the levels over and over again because each time you play you learn a little strategy so you think you can beat the level. But you fail. So you try again, again, and again!!

Anyways. On another note, I helped Rodrigo finish the little details of stuff he needs for his interview on Tuesday. Now we have nothing left to do, but pray and hope that everything goes ok. Hopefully, my husband will be able to FINALLY meet my family. He will be able to experience an US public high school graduation ceremony, he will experience life on the countryside, and he will see what a traditional Kasella wedding is like. It will not be ours. I don't think I have blogged about this, but Ro and I will not be able to have our church wedding in the US this year, there just isn't any money saved...anywhere for this. So, we are postponing it until...who knows. We win the lottery maybe...
So I am asking for good vibes, prayers, and any kind of good wishes you can send for Rodrigo. I know I should feel confident about this and in a way, I do. But I have been let down in the past....twice. So there is always the three and a half months away from my lover that scares me to the point of tears. I am a strong person. I have always been independent, but something happened when I fell completely in love with Rodrigo. When I am away from him, I am not me. Half of me is missing. And I hate that feeling so much that I would like to repeat April of 2005 one hundred and twenty times over again than to be away from my hubby for that long again. That's TEN YEARS!!!

(I suppose I should explain April of 2005. I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed on the first of April. I remember being knocked out saying hi to some lady who came in the room and just said, "hi." The only problems I have ever had with my teeth were these fuckers, I still have a scar on my right back gums where they had to cut out my last molar to move it so they could get the crooked fucker out. My cheek left was infected for two weeks after that. I remember going to the Dr. and he stabbed my mouth with something strange and sharp, "to get the pus out." I remember this because I think it was the first time I ever said the "F" word in front of my mom. When we were walking out I said, " I am never going to see that fucker again!" Of course this was one of the times where my mom had to say, "Shannon Kay, watch your mouth. Hahaha! Honestly I don't remember much of those weeks. I didn't eat, well I ate, but I am pretty sure my diet was Jello pudding cups and yogurt if I could even finish the cup before I fell asleep, and I had lots of hydro condone. (sp) For the week after those 2 weeks, I was sick, sick, sick! I went to the Dr. twice for tests for strep throat only to fail the first 2 and have to get blood drawn for a mono test. Passed that one two days before prom. I didn't have a date and went anyways, whiter than Casper, had a 0% F in Language Arts because I missed so much school and the rest of my classes were nowhere near As, Bs, or even Cs!! ANYWAYS, April 2005=pain and HELL!!)

Also, about Hubby's ticket, I have been watching, watching and watching the Continental website. I have been looking at my flight there and back to see what it is going to cost for Rodrigo to fly with me. I really don't want to fly alone again, but the way it looks now, we are $200 short of having Ro fly with me:( I hate when something I want is close enough to happening that I can think back to what I have spent in the past year that I could have gone without just to have that plane ticket for Ro. It's pathetic to think about what I spent my last $200 on!! If I would have gone without 1 trip to Walmart for the basic can't-be-found-in-Chile stuff when I was in the US, one pair of Vanity jeans, 2 tanks of gas, 1 trip to Applebees, 2 books from Barnes and Noble, and two nights at the bar, I would have enough money so that Rodrigo could fly with me! Okay, I will not regret the decisions I made! But still!!! I will learn from my mistakes and I WILL be smarter with my money in the future!!!! I can go without tampons!! NO I CAN'T!!!! I can go without books!! :( I can go without Secret Spring Fresh deodorant!!! EWW!! Would never!!! I didn't need the bag of Cheetos Cheddar Jalapeño or the White Cheddar Cheez-its or the bag of Cool Ranch Doritos for my hubby! But honestly, without all that stuff I know that coming back to Chile without that stuff I would have been worse. Homesickness would have sunk in faster. And I would have been bitching about no tampons or having to pay a million times as much for an 8 pack, I would have been bored with nothing new to read, and I would have bitched about some stinky ass deodorant that is not the same as the stuff I have been using for the last 8 years of my life!!
Okay, I am shutting up now and going away. Not to bed yet, but back to my stacker game. Chau chau!!!

P.S. My husband has started to say, "Po" when he is talking in English!! What should I do now!?!?!??!

Group Post: Travel Experiences

The group post this time is a travel experience, check out Kyle's blog for a whole list of the other participants. My post is not about come great abroad experience that I have had. I have never gone anywhere out of the country in my life until I came to Chile and since this blog is about my experiences in Chile, I am going to take a walk down memory lane, back to the days when summer vacation was the most important time in life. When I was 6 or 7, I can't really remember when we first went, but it was great and we have been going every single year since then. I of course haven't been able to go for quite a few years due to the fact that I was either in Montana, or I was helplessly in love with a Chilean and I was working as much as possible and taking off as few as possible days from work. So anyways I will tell you about the best place on Earth, you have to remember that these are all memories from when I was a lot younger and the things in life that matter to me now aren't anywhere close to being the same that matter to me back then.

Every summer the third weekend of August there was a trip that my family took. We went camping. We packed up our old Suburban and put our bikes in the boat and headed out. To where?? Where does anyone go when they live in Minnesota and it's a vacation?!?! Up North of course! No, not to Canada! We went to Lake Winnibigoshish in Cass County Minnesota. (I had to look up how to spell that online...we just called it Lake Whinni.) We stayed in the North Deer campground. There was a group of people that went up there with us every year, my dad's cousin and his family, the Gottwalts, their friends, the Clausens, and my dad's younger sister's family, the Plumski's. Of all the family there was 12 kids. There was always the drama that kids have, a few of the highlights were sand fights and when someone would bring a friend and one of the boys would try to go out with her. We had our fun times too. We went fishing and the best times were when we got to go with some of the other kids in a different boat. We went biking, I remember one time we went down a trail that was for hiking only, there was a sign that even showed pictures of what was and wasn't allowed on that trail. Well it had a big hill and I rode down that hill on my 20" Huffy too fast, hit a tree and hit my crotch right on the handle bars. I don't have balls, but damn!!! I remember that hurt like hell. I never biked down that hill ever again, when I go there in August I will sure as hell not even think about biking down that hill. We were free, we didn't really have a bedtime, we woke up and went on with our adventures for the day. There was always one great day to spend down on the beach. The adults set up a volleyball net in the water so there we games going on all day. The swim area was too shallow for us, so we would wander out until we felt weeds and swim around. Sometimes we played kickball with neighboring site's kids. When it rained, it never ruined anything. We would still go swimming, the adults would set up tarps all over the main site and continue on cooking delicious meals for us. S'mores were always my favorite part. My mom could make the most perfectly roasted marshmallows ever! Nice and brown all over and melted all the way through! Yum!!! We always went tubing behind one or two of the boats. My dad's cousin Steve and my dad had this special ride called the triple S. I survived that! Nobody else could though. I also went water skiing. I was one of the only kids that could do it for awhile, so I was always helping and teaching everyone else how to do it. Then there was the campfires! When we were older we got our own fire at night and the adults would be in the next site over with their campfire. My cousins snuck some of the beer from the adults cooler, I can't believe they never noticed, and we would have a little fun. I can't wait to go back there.
I have my ideas of how it is going to be now after 4 years of not going. It's probably not going to be as wonderful as it was when I was younger, but it will be fun now that we will be over 21! I also can't wait to show my husband one of the things that I waited for year after year!

We've been cursed by the gypsy lady and that is not gray miss, its lilac....

I have two stories today, the first makes me a little nervous and the second is exactly what to expect with Chilean customer service.

Today and everyday this week a lady came to the gate and banged on it with a stick or something and yelled, "allloooooo!" over and over again. Why? She wants us to give her money. What I don't understand is why she comes to the same effin street every single day. Tito, my FIL gave her something the first day, but she came back. He-we didn't give her anything since, but she keeps coming back. Rodrigo tells me that she is a gypsy. Today Tito informed us that we are under a curse. The gypsy left a flower filled with ants on our sidewalk. What is going to happen? I don't really know, but what I don't understand is why someone would put a curse on a family that gave her money in the first place. We are not required to give her money, we work, we pay OUR grocery bill we shouldn't have to pay hers. So I guess we are cursed. On what? For how long? I don't know....maybe til the flowers wilts into nothing. Maybe the ants are going to take over our house...bahhhahahaha.

Secondly I have taken up crocheting. Just for fun and since I don't like to make the same things twice, I am constantly buying yarn in different colors. Today I am making an elephant. So I went to buy some GRAY yarn. I also bought 3 other colors and they aren't the tipical blue, yellow, red, blah blah blah. They are the kind of colors that you have to say its kind of a blue color, no left, left, down one, yeah that one. Anyways, I saw the perfect gray for my cute little elephant and we (Ro went with me.) were telling her no down one, another one, no to the left, left more, and she just kept skipping over the one that I wanted!! Finally after landing her finger on it she said to us, that is not gray. That is lilac. Like it makes a difference!! It was the color I wanted and I think its gray so give it to me. I then had to proceed through the typical Chilean let me give you a slip of paper, you go pay, bring back the other slip of paper, and then I'll give you your bag. Of course when I got back from paying the same effin lady that helped us asked what I bought....there was nobody left in the store, is it really that difficult to remember the customer you just helped?? Especially if she is obviously gringa and barfs out a Spanish so terrible it really can't be called Spanish. Finally she remembered me, but where did she put that bag??? Seriously??? Grrrrrr!!!!!
Anyways, now I have my GRAY yarn and I'm going to make my elephant. I'll post pics if it turns out cute enough!!! I'll post pictures too if it turns out horrible so I am not the only one laughing at my stupidity.

Finished....and my dream I leave Chile because....

Here is what I was working on all day yesterday and today. It was supposed to be a teddy bear....but it turned into a monkey instead. I think it is pretty cute for my first crocheted stuffed animal. I hope my future cousin likes it. Ro's dad thinks I should sell them, but I don't know.

And on to my dream. In my dream Rodrigo is in his last year of college, and we have a newborn baby. It's a little girl that is 2 weeks old. I have to go to the store to pick up diapers and Ro is at college so, I leave my little angel with the MIL. It only takes me 10 minutes to get to the store, 15 in the store, (obviously that is unrealistic here in Chile) and then 10 minutes to get back home. Upon returning to the casa, I find my baby crying and take her and cuddle her to make her stop. I see right away two tiny gold balls, one in each year. I freak out. I scream at my MIL and then take the earrings out and put neosporin on her ears and hope they don't leave a scar. I take my baby back to my apartment, call Rodrigo and tell him what happened. Of course hubs doesn't know what side to take, but comes home. We both decide to leave Chile, we book a flight and leave the next week. Then I woke up and was really really thirsty. The end.

Nothing to say,

but this is how I feel.

Like an unfinished teddy bear. Scratch my last post completely. No job. For me anyways, Ro can still work, I can't. Back to square numero uno......again......

NEW JOB!!!!

We had an interview on Friday morning and they decided to start us out and see if we could do the job. Of course Ro can because he has the Spanish and English for it, but I was the test...still am. It makes me nervous as hell to always be under the magnifying glass, knowing that if they think I can´t handle it, I´m out. So, for right now, I'm not really sure if I have have the job, but I am working. With Ro, who BTW is NOT my hubby! heehee. A lot of the people we work with do know this and we aren't like throwing ourselves out there and shouting to the world that we are married so it´s fine. What's not fine however is that I never in my life would have seen myself how I am!! I spend 8 hours working with my husband and it is EXTREMELY difficult to not hug him, kiss him, touch him, or even just say, "I love you." I slip every now and then, but he never does!! Not even once has he slipped! But he has come up with his own way of showing me that he loves me. Before we get into the building I get a HUGE hug and kiss to last for the day. He also whispers I L U V U to me while we are working or says smooches. I am working on not slipping and thinking of my own code.
Now of course you want to know if I like my job. Honestly I am still not sure about it. I like some things about it. I work at the airport. I won´t go into details, but I will say that I work in the airport right outside those doors we all go through when we come to Chile, the international flight exit! I LOVE that part! I love watching people. I love it I love it I love it!!! I love watching how happy people are when their loved one walks through the doors. I love when an American mom comes through the door and her gringa daughter is waiting for her and they yell and scream and hug and cry and then walk away talking about the presents mom brought for her daughter. Of course I get jealous, my mom hasn't come down here yet, but there's plenty of time!! I also love watching the man waiting for his woman, or a woman waiting for her man. It brings me back to each time I have come to Chile and all I wanted was to get through those doors and run into Ro's arms!! I also like to see the dogs that people bring and the SAQ dogs. I don't know why, but I just like dogs at the moment. I saw a Yorkie yesterday and one today and I had to keep myself from walking over and petting the little guys! I really miss my Yorkie I can't wait to see her again!! Soon though. Very soon.
Also while working here I have found out that my husband is obsessed with the uniforms that flight attendants. He thinks they are absolutely sexy. I don't see it, but whatever floats his boat I guess???
Anyways, I probably won't be talking too much about our job on here. Unless of course I get fired...I mean let go.
Here's the countdown: 9 days until Ro's interview at the Embassy for his visa, 44 days until I leave, AND most importantly 50 days until I am legal in the US of A!!!

My Easter Package!!!!

Yum!!! Thanks FAMILY!!
I love when I get a package sooner than I think it is going to get here!! My mom sent it on the 13th and I received it yesterday!! Yay!! Ro and I already got into the White Cheddar Cheezits, jelly beans, and we had a few Crunch eggs. I was also really really excited to get a new tube of Crest Whitening Extreme plus Scope!!! I was going to write a post about how I was running out of my supplies, but then the package came! I can't wait to eat the Cadbury eggs! My favorite Easter treat! My mom also sent us each a toothbrush. :D No cavities for us!! I also got Reeses pieces, mini candy bars, blueberry and strawberry Whoppers, (never heard of em, haven't tried em yet, but they are candy so they must be good.) pictures of my niece, (my favorite is the one where she's laying on the blanket I crocheted for her!) my bro's senior picture, two solid chocolate bunnys, a collapsible Easter basket which is really really cool and I put all the candy in it before I ate any of it, BUT the most important thing in the package, a letter. This letter is one of the key things that we need for Rodrigo's visa. Well anyways, I think I need to go eat something sweet!! Chau chau!!

Putting My 500s in Jar and Saving For.......

Who knows. I know I am saving my 500 pesos, I should say our, but in the end I get the prize :P but I don't know what exactly I am saving for. Maybe for a beautiful wedding ring for myself and one for Ro. Lots of diamonds and sparkle!! Maybe the Sony Ebook Reader PRS-700 or a new laptop. I won't know what I am saving for until I have the money saved up. I can't make up my mind on what to save for, I am lucky I can make my mind up to save the 500s instead of just 100s. SO as soon as my spaghetti sauce jar is full of 500 pesos. It will probably take an entire year or 2 of saving every single one we get back as change. I can't wait to see how many it really takes to fill it. I should make a bet with Ro on how many it holds. Maybe the winner gets the difference to spend on something they want.
Maybe when this jar is full it will no longer smell nasty as hell like the sauce that used to be in it. And maybe by the time it is full, Ro and I will have an apartment and I can get a nice bed. Or paint our apartment. Or get a new puppy, I don't know if I can get a new puppy I would feel like I was cheating on Zoe...that sounds wrong but I don't know how to explain it.
Maybe when the jar is full we will be more financially stable, maybe we can have an extra little trip to the US or maybe we can have a baby. Yes I said a baby! I know the jar won't be full for over a year so we have time. I am not planning a little poopy bundle for right now.
Maybe we won't be financially stable and I will have to use all my shiny coins to pay off my credit card. That would completely suck ass.
Maybe we will be moving to the US and the jar won't be full and we will just change it over and have to start over with quarters. We will not under any circumstances keep the 500s just in case we move back to Chile. Never!
So who knows, maybe in a year maybe more, we will have something cool, and I will have something cool to blog about.

:D Easter in Quintero and Viña del Mar!!

We had a great weekend away for Easter! Friday we left Santiago at about 11am with a carload of friends. Ingrid, Rolo, Sindia, and Cata joined Rodrigo and I on this little trip. We had a good fast trip we had to stop in Viña because Ro REALLY HAD TO PEE!! We even parked in the prego parking spot, something that I would never do, but we made a fast trip into Jumbo. Rodrigo and I found something we had been looking for in Stgo for a LONG LONG time!! Kraft Mac and Cheese!!! We bought about $16 worth of it....sadly that is only 9 boxes....a little crazy, yes, but we think it was worth it. We went to Quintero from there. Quintero is a pretty cute little town/city, but it reminded me instantly of Billings Montana. Why?? the refineries and the stink! Ewww! It wasn't in the whole city, it was just the little drive past it. We had a lot of fun, and here are our pictures.

They were doing some sort of dance...I don't dance. Plus by this time, the smoke and my cold were killing me! OH and for anyone that would like to know how they fuck you over on the happy hour special I know EXACTLY how they do it!! The waitress comes to you for a reason. So that you can't see that instead of giving you Havana Club (the expensive rum) they give you Flor da Caña (the cheap rum) and charge you for a Havana. Ro and Rolo went to the bar for our drinks only to find out that they only had Flor de Caña...not my favorite, but I had a cold and couldn't taste the difference.

We went for a boat ride! I honestly was a bit nervous. I have been in boats on lakes hundreds of times, but never on the ocean.

The cute thing that I love with all my heart!

Another one just basking in the sun.

Another seal, I love em they are so cute!! But I wouldn't want to be in the water with them!!

Fishing boat that looked great with the sunset behind it.

Ro and I again.

"Cave of the Pirate"
Rolo, Ingrid, Ro and I, Cata, Sindia.

A blurry pic of Ro and I.

Rodrigo hanging out on a pier before he pretended to push me off of it scaring the shit out of me because I was just watching those seal/wolves swim right in front of my face!!! I think I was more scared of being in the water with those things than actually being in the water!!

Random pup napping in a pile of fishing nets.

I'm not entirely sure what these are. I think they are seals, "focas" heehee love that!! But everyone else was calling them "lobos" wolves...I know they aren't wolves.

Me, Ingrid, Cata, and Sindia.

Purrrty sunset!!!

The view from inside the Pirate's Cave out.

Easter Eggs!!! YAY!!

Yesterday we colored Easter eggs. Usually I don't do this unless I am in MN coloring them with little cousins. But yesterday I was in the mood to make it more Eastery.
Well, even Ro had fun, he won't actually admit it but if you look at his eggs you can tell he was having fun!! :P

SO here they are!!!
I started out with 12 eggs....broke 2 before they were hardboiled, and one kind of exploded a bit. So we only had 9 eggs. I colored 5 Ro colored 4.

Rodrigo was being creative he made an egg with a bunny face on it, a human face, the green one with gold things on...and of course a red one with I love U on it for me. :D Mine are the rest. I usually use more than one color on mine so mine are all the multicolored ones and the blue one with stars!! My favorite one. :P

AND Here's the hubby smiling even though he was mad I was taking a picture of him.. how cute :)

I HAVE MY TICKET I HAVE MY TICKET!!! YAY!!!

I just booked my ticket!!! SO excited!!!!!
I don't have anything else to say!!! So I'm gonna go back to my email page and stare at the eticket!!!! YAY!!!

I Went...

I got my paycheck, I said "hi" to a few people, I received my contract and was told that I have to go get my "finiquito" which won't be that much on the 20th.

That's about it.

I made a cheeseburger for Rodrigo and bought "pepinillos" at Lider that are extremely sour and disgusting, but I kept eating them anyways.

I also went dream shopping. My favorite thing to do. AND surprisingly this time Ro joined in. We went to Ripley and Easy and pointed out EVERYTHING that we want for the apartment we want to get. A lot of stuff we agreed on, but a few things I am just going to have to get my way on! I don't want a rectangle table! I want a nice big square one so that makes everyone feel closer together. None of that yelling across the table to get the salt. I also looked at a Brita water filter that I am seriously thinking about getting. I can't stand the tap water, and I am getting sick of buying the giant 5 liter jugs of water. I think the filter would be great only problem is that I saw the filter pitcher in the big size and the little size, (the big one is smart apparently.) But I didn't see any of the refill filter dealios. So I wasn't sold on it and I didn't buy it. I also saw a great bed that I want! Rodrigo thinks we should just keep the one we have and buy the other stuff that we "need" like a dryer....he has gone his whole life without one why does he need one now, anyways the bed sucks and I can't hardly sleep at night and wake up with a backache almost every morning. Apparently to him that's not a big deal. To me on the other hand! Big deal!! It promotes crabbiness and I can't go through Tylenol that fast, I don't have a lifetime supply of it down here!!

Anyways, let me jump back off my dream cloud and get back to reality. I have a bunch of stuff to do and since I don't have a job yet, I have plans for the rest of the week to look for one. I also have to figure out a bunch of stuff for Rodrigo's visa and OF COURSE I will be sitting around the house as much as possible watching and waiting for a package of Easter yummys from home!! Can't wait! As far as our plans for Easter, I think we are going to Quintero, I don't know where that is, not a single clue. I don't know anything about it actually, but as long as we are going somewhere new I am packing my crappy purple backpack from the 8th grade and tagging along for the ride!! I can't wait!! I can't wait!!

Nightmare!

Last night I had a dream about tomorrow. Tomorrow I have to go to my exjob to pick up my check and get the copy of my contract.
But in this dream, everything went completely wrong! First I arrived there and instead of a check in Chilean pesos of about $400,000 that I am expecting, they handed me a Ben Franklin and were very very pissy about giving me my contract. When they finally handed it over I realized that it wasn't even my contract that they handed me. It was a new one and where it has "my" signature it looked like it was scanned into a computer and then printed onto the paper in blue ink. I of course could tell that they copied it from somewhere else and it was all pixelly like they printed it off the computer. Then, I woke up.
Honestly I hope everything goes well tomorrow and they don't fuck me anymore than they already have. I don't want any problems with picking up my contract or paycheck. Also, I found out that here in Chile, from what I heard anyways, they have to give you a heads up about when you are getting canned. Which obviously did not happen and the paper that I signed was dated Mar. 31st so therefore I was not given any sort of heads up at all.
So until tomorrow when I will update on how everything goes, I hope everyone had a good weekend! I sure did!!

I LIKE

YES, ladies and gentlemen I am writing an I LIKE list. Be proud! These are the things that I like about Chile. I won't go so far as to say I love them, but I like them!!

I LIKE....

1. The subway...yes I bitch about being squished and everything but come on, its cheap it gets me from Vicente to Los Leones in one piece.

2. LaSaucy soap. It dries my hands out, but the kind that has honey in it reminds me of beeswax and I LOVE LOVE LOVE beeswax!!

3. Completos italianos. LUV!! The whole avacado (just a little bit), mayo (again a little bit), tomato, ketchup, mustard, and hotdog on a bun... delicious!!!

4. Salsa golf. I want to say when I first came here in July of 07, I was disgusted that mixing mayo and ketchup was chip dip, but now YUM! I will eat it with chips anyday! though I prefer light mayo the stuff that isnt light is quite yellow and yellow mayo kind of scares me.

5. Choripan. YUMMMMMM.

6. Sopaipillas!!! DELICIOUS!!! Nothing makes me warm during the winter besides my electric blanket. A little bit of mustard and my body is warm the rest of the way home!!!

7. Empanadas!! My favorites are mushroom and cheese and crab and cheese. But I won't say no to a meat one, but I do say NO to the olive. yakkk!!!

8. Rum and Coke for less than $20. And real Coke, not the Walmart brand!!!

Ok so my list is only 8 long, so what. I like some things. I don't completely 100% hate it here. Right??

100% JUGO!!!

I love orange juice. I hate nectar de naranja....ew. It doesn't really taste like orange juice at all. It is a nice watered down sugared up version of real orange juice. Recently I decided that I would fork out the extra pesos to get 100% jugo. Delicious! I bought raspberry and orange juice. I wasn't too impressed with the raspberry it was quite bitter, but I asked for no sugar...my fault. But the OJ!!! YUMMMM. A great way to start the day. I will add that Rodrigo does not like it. He tasted it and his face instantly puckered up. Oh well, more for me!!

Anyways, I didn't realize that it's Friday. I seriously thought it was Thursday! Not that the weekend will be much different than my week now that I don't have a job, but still it's the weekend!!! I don't have any plans tonight, so I think I will stay home and curl up with a glass of vodka and OJ...I will not be wasting my 100% jugo on vodka. I will buy a bottle of nectar for this.

Waiting, waiting, waiting.

I sent out my CV to a couple places yesterday, and now I just have to wait and hope something turns up.
Now I have time once again to spend with the hubby. Today we are going to the mall to window shop. I need to make a list of what it is going to cost to "set up house." Since Ro and I aren't having our wedding this year, we won't be getting all those wonderful house setting up gifts. Instead of enjoying as much of MY summer as I can, I am now planning on working a full time job AND a part time job on the side. The more money I can make and save in the US, the better. I for sure want to make sure I can pay off all my credit cards. I am not that far in debt, it might take a month at both jobs to pay it off, leaving me with 2 and a half months of cash to bring back to Chile.
Hopefully on top of my 2 jobs I will be able to go rock picking or babysit for some more extra cash. It kind of makes me sad that I won't be able to do all the fun stuff that will be going on, but it is SOOO worth it knowing that when I come back to Chile I won't be in the MIL's house anymore! I have to prioritize my list of things I want to do and things I really have to do, and pretty much shove everything else to the side. I HAVE to go to my brother's and cousins' graduation parties, and I HAVE to go to my niece's baptism in June. The rest of the stuff that month will probably be cut out. As for my B-day, I will probably just go out the weekend after to the small town bar/restaurant to celebrate with a few friends. It's my 21st, I'm not blowing all my cash just because I can legally drink in the US of A. I don't have anything that I HAVE to go to in July except my sis and I are going to see Ice Age 3 the day after her Bday. I would like to go to Appleriver and float down the river, but I will have to see how much that will cost. August there are two things that I HAVE to do, just to make my time in the US worth it. The first is girl's weekend where all my aunts and my mom, grandma and other female relatives in the family go to a hotel and have lots of fun!!! :D The other is a camping trip, one that my family has been going on for 13 or so years, and I have missed the last 3 or 4 times of going. This year, I AM going! August also has our town's garage sale day and I would also like to wander around there a bit and see if I can find any treasures :D September will be when I work the most because there is only one thing that I HAVE to do in September and that is my cousin's wedding. And then 3 days later, back to Chile. And hopefully into an apartment, new job, and maybe I will be a bit happier in this country.

Ok, enough for now, I will sit here and wait, wait for a reply on a job, wait to be able to buy my plane ticket home, wait wait wait.

*I'm gonna bake some fruit pizza, I know all the ingredients except baking powder, I looked it up on wordreference and it says its levadura en polvo. Since wordreference isn't always God, can someone please confirm this before I make my husband ask for it at the super market only to get a worker look at us like we are out of our minds.
thank you!!!

GOLD irresistible sabor de la miel!!

What should I do today?
What should I do with the rest of my life?
Is there any point of staying in this city when it clearly does not like me?
Should I just bail now before I fall any lower into this shit pile?

Or, should I just sit here and eat my cereal then maybe pitch out the $9 it costs for a tub of Haagen-Dazs and eat that all bummed out, go to bed, wake tomorrow and get back up, brush off the dust and look for something else?

I just don't understand, they could have told me this was coming, they could have somehow hinted it!!
I am going to talk to Ro's lawyer because they never gave me a copy of my contract before they canned me, and when I asked for it they got all nervous! Something fishy is going on, why would they get nervous if I asked for my copy of my contract???
