*Hugs and kisses to the fam in the US!

This picture is from last year the first week that I was in Chile.

Hahaha!! This is my Ro!! Crazy hair and on the computer!!

(Self-taken-photo!!) Ro and I at the border of Argentina and Chile!
This is my favorite picture of us!! This is from our trip to Argentina in April! We had a lot of fun!

Well the week is almost over, so is the month!!! One more down, 6 and a half to go!! It's been really cold in Santiago the last week. There has also been lots of rain. Rodrigo is sick with the flu, and I have a cold. I can't wait til payday! We are going to buy an electric blanket for our bed!! I am glad that Rodrigo's dad is finished with his business trip so things can get back to normal. And our schedule will be ours we wont have to be changing it for anybody! I hope!! We are having an "asado" *bbq* on Saturday with our friends so that will be fun for the weekend!! Love lots!

Maybe its the Rain

So much for all the pictures right?? Hahaha, well, I am still waiting for Rodrigo to put them on a CD for me so that I can upload them at work. Work... I have to say that this job is by far my least favorite of anything I have ever worked before. I am the head interviewer in Chile, but none of the other interviewers take me seriously, they don't send me what they are supposed until at least two days later. I have sent many emails, tell them exactly what I need, and still I get jack! A new thing I am discovering about the people in this country is the laziness. Of all the people I see on a daily or weekly basis, I would have to say that about 70% of them are lazy. The people I work with and friends, they are lazy. The people I work with would rather make me do something that they are completely capable of doing. Things that are part of their jobs, not mine. Just because I am a native English speaker they will make me write emails, tickets, and even correct their own personal resumes for next year!! I can understand if they ask my to correct their tickets and emails, but I shouldn't have to be the one to write them especially if they are not from me!! And the resumes!!! Are you kidding me?!? First of all why would you write a resume for next year if you are planning on working here at the same place again??
And also the fake coughing! If you don't want to do your job you can just fake cough for about a week maybe you can get away with a little bit more. And here's another thing!! Just because I am 19 and at least 3 years younger than everyone that I work with does not mean that I am a little kid!! I am perfectly aware of my job! I know what is my job and what is not, I am not stupid!
All of the excuse I have gotten from the other regions are nothing more than excuses. They tell me that they haven't been online all day... well you idiots, you shouldn't have added me to your facebook because now it tells you who is on and who is not!! I am not stupid!! Just because colleges are on strike doesn't mean that you can't send me an email, that's not an excuse! It's laziness!!
The other thing I am noticing is the selfishness. This I am noticing only in Ro's family. His little sister Rocio is the most selfish brat I have ever known and I can't even talk with her! She had dance class last night, and told us that she needed to be picked up at 8:30. That we had to be there at 8:30. Well, we go there at 8:24 and guess what time she came out? 9:40!! And she didn't even care she just came in the car sat down and started listening to her music loudly as usual. Then when we got home she didn't even say thank you!! She thinks that it is the rest of the family's job to go and get her whenever she wants and bring her where ever she wants! Then when we got home and her mom asked her why she said she was going to be out at 8:30, she started crying. 17 years old and she started crying and throwing a fit because "nobody understands her, she has things that she needs to do!" There is nothing that she needs to do!! Of all the time I have been here this is what she has had to do, she had to make noodles for herself to eat ONE time. She doesn't have to wash her clothes, she doesn't have to make her bed, she doesn't have to cook or help in the kitchen. Where ever she wants to go someone else brings her. She walks in the door after school and goes straight to her brand new computer, which she didn't even have to help pay for, and sits on messenger all night. And "nobody understands her" and all the "things" that she HAS to do!! This is exactly what happens when you spoil your kids and give them everything that they want. Her mom asked me if I can buy Rocio an MP3 player when I am in the states, and I ask myself what is the point?? She just got a new one not even a year ago and she already broke it. Why does she deserve to have another one?? She doesn't take care of her stuff and she doesn't know the value of money!! She wants a brand new car when she gets her drivers license, I can just see that, she is so airheaded that she will be screwing around with the radio and BAM! There goes the brand new car, she will cry and throw a fit and most likely ask for another one! But at least Rodrigo won't have to drive the brat around everyday! I am sure the girl will never work a day in her life, she has no reason to, her mother will give her everything she ever asks for. Since she is the youngest girl in the family she will probably live at home with her parents even after she gets married and wholly rely on her husband for everything just like her mother does.
UGH! IT disgusts me how the people are here!!

Life Slowly Turning into HELL!

It has been a while. This past week has been stressful, and I have no doubt next week will be the same and probably worse. Rodrigo's dad has been out of town for a business trip. Leaving Rodrigo the "man" of the house. Meaning that Rodrigo is his mother's slave. Since Ema does not have a driver's license, she has to rely on Rodrigo, which would be fine, but she never asks if we have plans. She pretty much makes it so that whatever Rodrigo has to do is not important. Last night we were on our way back from picking her up at Mami's house and Rodrigo told her that he can't pick her up tomorrow because we have plans. That is where all hell broke loose. She flipped out! She actually got mad because one day, one day out of the last week and some, we can't pick her up. And then when she asked what our plans were she acted like the weren't even planned. Like we made them up so that we didn't have to go and get her. On the side of that, she tried to make Rodrigo feel guilty and give in by saying, "well fine, we'll just have to take the bus, the very packed and dangerous bus...UGH! Rodrigo told her that he can bring her back from Mami's at 1:30, and that was the ONLY time that he can go. Then she got pissed and said that she wants to be picked up at 2pm. Well, that doesn't work. This living with the in-laws thing is really starting to suck. We can't plan on doing anything ever because at the last second, Ema or Rocio will say that they need a ride. Its one thing to ask is he can pick them up or ask if he can bring them somewhere, but its a whole different story when they start telling him that he has to do it. Rodrigo driving should be seen as a favor, now it is more like an obligation. He is required to drop his whole life to do what they want him to do. I don't understand why she is so selfish that she doesn't even think that maybe Rodrigo has plans, she doesn't even care! I can completely see where Rodrigo gets his selfishness now. I just pray to God that he doesn't become that selfish. I also thank God that my mother has a driver's license, and that she acts like more of an adult than I do!! Thanks Mom!! It is so hard for me to understand why Ema has to go to her mother's house every single day! If I was in MN, I'm very sure that I or my mom would get sick of seeing each other if I went there every single day! I need a break from this effed up lifestyle!! I really can't wait until I am back in MN for a week in July, and the day I pack ALL of my stuff and go home in December with Rodrigo will be the best day of the whole year!!
Now that I am done ranting, I hope you all have a nice weekend!!

Its the Weekend!!

Well another week gone, another week over in this city!!
And it was definitely a boring one!!
I had hardly any interviews at work and the work days went by slow. Today I had 3 interviews, they went good except I couldn´t do them in my office because the computer repair guy is a complete idiot and yesterday when he came to do something on my computer he wrecked the sound, so he spent more than 8 hours on my computer "fixing" the sound. Which is a load of crap, I walked by my office many times today as much as possible, and half the time he was sitting back in MY cool rolly office chair with his hands behind his head!!!
Today was Panchi´s birthday, so we had cake at the office. All the cake that I have had here is super sweet like overly sweet almost to the point where I don´t like it. But a small piece was nice. Work is finally starting to feel more comfortable to me. Tomorrow I am going shopping with Fran one of the girls I work with. It´ll be nice to get out of the house and go somewhere without Rodrigo. I love the kid, but I still need my time. I finally heard about my trip in July, I still dont know the exact dates, but its looking like I will fly out of Santiago July 17th or 18th and I wont be in the US as long as I had wanted, but now I don´t have to pay for the ticket so as much as I really really REALLY want to complain and beg for just a few more days, I am not going to. And finally now I can upload pictures!! Thats all for now, lots of love!!!

I'm Ready for My Vacation NOW!

Its only the second week of May, but I am for sure ready for my vacation already!!
I can't wait to be back in the states!!
Our weekend was very relaxed again, it was very nice. We didn't go out and party at all. Sunday we went to the "feria" and we bought a few dvds and I bought some apples. I made an apple pie which turned out very good!! I have definitly perfected my pie crust!! The recipe called for brown sugar, but apparently it doesn't exist here, that or I am just too stupid to find it! I was going to buy a can of Ready Whip to put on top the pie, but it costs about $5 for a tiny can. Oh well. It tasted good without it!!
Monday was a pretty boring day at work, my first interview didnt show up and the second cancelled so once again I had nothing to do but someone else's work. I ended up getting to leave early. Which worked out perfectly cuz Rodrigo didnt have to go home so he saved the money he would have needed for the "collectivo" * that's a taxi, but you pay a set price and it drives the same route over and over again. *
And now I am at work with no interviews and nothing to do but what I was working on yesterday. And of course surfing the web! Yesterday I was looking at computers, I'm thinking about getting a laptop. A computer of my own would be really nice to have so I can store my pics and videos easier. And it'll be mine so I can get online whenever I want to keep in touch with everyone. Now I just have to come up with the money, maybe I will have enough when I go to the states in July! Well thats my short life update!! lots of love
