FIRED AKA CANNED AKA SHITCANNED AKA "LET GO"

Is the title self explanatory enough for ya??

All because I said, "I really want to go to the US in June."

What the fuck is wrong with me.
Lie Shannon, LIE SHANNON!!!

Why did I get fired?
Well because I liked my job, I was happy, and I actually wanted to work there.
Easy enough. I need to find myself another job that I absolutely hate.

Will Rodrigo get to go to the US now?? Doubt it.

Back to square numero uno.

Joy to the FUCKING world.

The Weekend is Over, What??

This weekend went by pretty fast. It wasn't all that exciting either!
Well, Friday night was fun, I went to T'quila with Ro and my coworker Cris. It was great. We came back to our house after that and we were only coming to get more money, and to have one drink. Well....one drink turned into 3 and I went to bed. It was fun.

Other than that, we stayed home and just relaxed. We washed a bunch of clothes...well I didn't. Ro did. Good boy!
I am kind of excited to go to work tomorrow, but at the same time, waking up at the crack of dawn has never been my specialty! What I like about my job is that we take turns on what shifts we work. One week I work mornings the next I work afternoon to evening shift.
About work, it is going pretty good now. At first it was a bit rough and there was a lot of problems with management and stuff. But this week everything got straightened out. I am very excited to get my first paycheck! We get paid on the 5th of every month, but since the 5th falls on a Sunday this month, I am not sure if I will have money before the weekend, or on Monday. Of course I am hoping for before the weekend!!
I just want to buy my plane ticket! As soon as I have that I will feel way better, but I can't buy it til I send money to the US. Which brings me to my new question.
I heard about a thing called moneygram from a friend at work. I have never used it, I always used Western Union or just held my money til I went to the US, so I don't really know how it works. If anyone has ever used it, please let me know if it was good, how it works and whatnot! I just heard it was cheaper than Western Union, so that was a perk enough to make me curious!! Anyways, I hope everyone had a good weekend and I wish you all luck for the next week!!
Peace.

Easy Ways to Make Your Sister Cry.

1. Have a baby.

2. Tell your only sister that she gets to be the Godmother.

3. Later tell her that she isn't going to be the Godmother because she will never be around to see the baby.

4. Say this exact sentence to her, "I don't care, you are never going to be around to see her anyways."

On another note, I am asking all my readers to pray or send good vibes our way for Wednesday. I really do want my husband to meet my family, well most of them. Certain people I couldn't less about today.

I don't necessarily believe in this sort of stuff, but....

every now and again I find one that really does just fit me for the day.

Gemini (5/21-6/21)Your hopes and wishes are your own -- do not change them to make others happy.

Hmmmm. Ok, if only I didn't get totally shot down when I tried to book my plane ticket yesterday. Apparently I have a bad memory and splurged a tiny bit too much when I was in the US. If I wouldn't have spent $83 I would have been able to book my ticket. Times like this make me wish I would have just used my debit card!!! Oh well, I get paid next week. So I can send money home and then pay off as much as I can. Once I have my plane ticket I think I will be way less stressed and not so crabby towards my hubby. After that, the cards will fall where they fall. If I go to the US alone, of course I am not going to be completely thrilled that I will have to spend 3 plus months away from him...again, but I will be happy. If I am travelling alone my expectations of what hubby does when I am away will be extremely high. I expect that he will have saved enough money so that we can IMMEDIATELY move into an apartment so we don't have to live in the MIL's house ever again. Awww, the thought of that makes me warm and fuzzy inside! I can't wait to have a home of our own! Where I don't have to hold the bedroom door shut with my foot while I am changing clothes if people are home. Where I don't get the look and the chhhhhh everytime I take a shower and don't dry my hair and everytime I walk around the house barefoot. I will also have a place to make my own!! To buy paintings or print photos for. I can't wait to tell my sister to start painting something for MY apartment. :D
Anyways let me jump off my dream cloud for a second and get back to reality. I still have a few more months, well, 2 months and 5 days til I go to the US!!!

Awwwwww!!!!
Rodrigo just called the Embassy to schedule an appointment for his tourist visa!! And usually there is a month of a wait, meaning I would have a whole month to help him get documents and papers to ensure that everything will run smoothly and he will get the visa. So I was expecting to have that time. BUT NO!!!! THE APPOINTMENT IS NEXT WEEK!!!! NEXT WEEK WEDNESDAY!! THAT'S NOT EVEN A WHOLE FUCKING WEEK FOR ME TO GET THOSE PAPERS TOGETHER. FUCK!! FUCK!!! FUCKITY FUCK!!!!

I WEAR THE PANTS!!!!! And my niece is adorable!!

This is a two sided post. I don't know why I haven't written in a while, probably because I haven't really had anything to write about. So here I am ready to write!!!

I WEAR THE PANTS!!
A few months ago, Ro's dad had a newspaper article about how couple things work in the grand old US of A. Of course you can't believe everything you read here, but Ro's dad found it hilarious the in the US the famales wear the pants. In fact he told the whole family just to make fun of Ro. Maybe it is true, maybe not, I guess it all depends on what you think it takes to wear the pants. I personally had on leg in, but finally I put my foot down and pulled them pants right over my fat ass!! I WEAR THE PANTS!! I work, I pay my bills, and so far in this whole married life we haven't really had anything we mutually paid for. I paid to go to the US over my Christmas break, I paid for our dog, I paid for her food and shots, and I paid for little extra fun things we did. I am coming to the end of my rope though! Let me tell you!!! A husband that does not work and has been saying he is trying to find a job for the past 4 months does not make a happy wife!! Especially when said wife works and found a job within a month of trying. AND said husband "really does" want to go to the US for MY summer. So now that I wear the pants, I am going to the US. I am buying MY ticket and if he doesn't get a job, I am NOT buying him a ticket. He will have to stay here and "try" to find a job, meaning he can sit here and be waited on hand and foot by the effin MIL! While she puts it into his head that it is ok that he is not working because he can live in her house for free. So its ok if he doesn't work. Grrrrr! BTW, I am looking for an apartment for September, I heard of one by Macul that is being built right now and won't be complete til November. Its 2 bedroom, 2 bath for 130.000 CHP each month and we don't have to pay for one year. That sounds sketchy to me....is that normal???

Anyways, my niece is adorable!!! Check her out!!! Evalie Rae!!
I can't wait to see her and hold her!!!

I hope the week goes by fast! Next week I get to work the morning shfts that go by super fast! Oh, and I FINALLY get paid next week!! I hate that you only get paid once a month here!!
I also can't wait to get home tonight, I haven't talked to my sister since right after she had the baby and I only talked to her for a minute or so. So she better be on tonight!! I wanna see the babe on the webcam!!! :D

So, am I losing a few years of my life?

I don't like blogging twice in the same day, especially since my last post was the most exciting for me of this year, but I found this article. I think I will use this as my reason for leaving Chile.

YAY!!! My Sister is in the Hospital!!

WELCOME TO THIS WORLD! EVALIE RAE KASELLA
1:45 AM
MARCH 22, 2009.
7 POUNDS 3 OUNCES
21 INCHES LONG.
WELCOME BEAUTIFUL NIECE.
My little sweet pea!!! I can't wait to spoil you!!!

I'm gonna be an auntie!!!
I can't wait!! My husband was sure that my sister would have her baby girl today since it is his birthday today, but I don't think the little one wanted to share a bday with him! So she is coming the day after. I am so sad right now that I am not home. I won't get to hold the little bundle of joy tonight. I won't get to hold her tomorrow either. Nope, I have to wait til June. :o( But, I am going to be an auntie so for now I am sitting her celebrating!! As soon as I get a pic of the little angel I will put it up on here!! So, I am sitting here on the computer waiting. Because I guess now there is nothing left to do but wait. So I am waiting. Waiting...... be back later!!!

Group Post: Why I came to Chile? When or will I Leave?

Here's another group post, we have had a long time in between these, but we are back! Kyle has the list of all the others who are posting so check her blog and everyone elses!!

Why did this Minnesota country girl move to one of the largest Spanish speaking cities in the world?
LOVE. The best movie quote ever from the best movie ever, "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is to love and be loved in return!"
My journey of love brought me to Chile. If I had never met Rodrigo, I would never ever have come to Chile. Never. It wasn't even on my dream list of places to go in this big world of ours. When I met Rodrigo in Montana in January of 2007, I had no idea I would end up here. I told myself over and over again, I fought the thoughts in mind, and as much as I didn't want to fall in love with this guy because of the chance that when he left the US I would never see him again, I did. I now look back in my journal and see the fight with myself that I wrote down and laugh. First of all I laugh that I spelled Chile with an "i"....Chili, like the soup. After dating Rodrigo for a few months, if you can call it that I call it spending every single day and night together, but we never really went on "dates," Rodrigo had to go back to Chile. He changed his flight to a later date in March so that he could stay with me longer, but he couldn't stay forever. I knew this, this was the biggest thing my mind fought over. The day came. March 29th I drove Rodrigo to the airport. I brought him in, I sat on the bench with him and I bawled my eyes out when I had to say goodbye to him. It hurt so much. My mind was fighting back in forth with the idea of him never coming back and with the idea of me going to Chile to be with him. Well, obviously my mind didn't go to the darkside. I left Montana the next day. I packed everything I had into my car. I even took apart Rodrigo's bike and brought that with me. When I left Bozeman, I was sad. Sad that I was leaving my friends and this little city that just had a perfect way of life. I moved back in with my parents and worked. I worked overnights at Shopko and then worked an evening shift at McDonalds. I worked and worked. In fact the only memory that I really have from April to July in 07 is the day my best friend in Bozeman died and I had to go to Montana again. This of course threw me back a bit on the money to get to Chile, but I just had to leave a month later than I wanted. I talked to Rodrigo almost every single day on messenger. We talked on the phone maybe once a month. And then I bought my ticket. My very very first plane ticket ever. At 18 the first time I ever left the country was to go all the way to Chile. In case you would like to know how much it costed, it was exactly $870.90. Exactly. So I was off to Chile on July 10th. Rodrigo and a couple friends picked me up at the airport. I met his family that day, his dad's side was at the house when we got there with lots of snacks and hugs and kisses on the cheek. We took a nap because I was beat. Rodrigo was also tired because he didn't sleep at all the night before I left. So we napped and then went to meet his mom's side of the family. I spent 3 months in Chile. We didn't do a whole lot besides spend as much time together as we possibly could. I didn't work and Ro just had a few classes a week that he went to. I left Chile in October with the hopes that Rodrigo would come to the US and visit me. That never happened, he couldn't get the visa. So I was off to Chile again. This time a more permanent move. I came back down here in January of 2008 and have been living here ever since. We bought our first puppy together and this time I had a job. I went to Minnesota for a little visit in July, just 10 days. We were married on September 2nd. I went to the US for a month over Christmas and now I am here.

When will I leave?? Will I leave??
Well the technical answer is yeah, I will leave. On June 1st I will leave Chile to go to Minnesota for MY summer and hopefully if my husband gets his little ass moving, he will be going with me. But this isn't a permanent leave. I will be back in Chile at the end of September. Right now I know that I don't want to stay in Chile forever. I can't do it. I want to have children, but I do not at all want to raise them here in Chile. So, after Rodrigo finishes college, hopefully we will be able to move to the US so we can start a family. There is only so much I can handle about this country. If we stay here, there is no way we will ever really be above, we may always just make it paycheck to paycheck, which means, I can't have the 5 children that I want, and we wouldn't be able to afford going to the US to visit, ever. The when is the only question that needs to be answered. And with that we aren't sure at all.

Dreaming of the Summer at the end of Summer??

Yeap! That is exactly what I am doing today. Because, you see, my summer hasn't started yet. MY summer is what I am calling June to September this year. MY summer is the last long period I will be in the United States for probably 2 years. Its sad, but that's how it is going to work. This is the path in life that I have chosen to take. I will NOT and will NEVER ever say say that I am going to stay in Chile permanently because right now it may be hard for certain people to cut the cord, (I won't mention names. uhem..MIL...uhem...Ro...oops I mentioned names!) but I have this feeling that once the freedom is there, there's no going back.

Back to MY summer. I will start this in well, technically the Spring in the US. June 1st I plan on flying to Minnesota. If Ro has his effing visa by then, then I plan on falling asleep on his shoulder when we are 30,000 feet above the ground, if not, then I will be falling asleep on myself I guess. That is why this is MY summer. I am married, but this summer will be mostly for me regardless of Ro's lack of responsiblity and his laziness in getting his visa. The first important thing I will be doing in MY summer is of course my yourger brother's high school graduation. (I probably will never call him my little brother because he's not littler than me, just younger.) Anyways this activity will be on the 5th of June, and his grad party will be on the 6th of June and then I have the grad party of my cousin Jacob on the 7th of June. The most important day of MY summer of course happens to be the 8th of June!! There's absolutely no point whatsoever of being in Chile on the 8th of June this year! You only turn 21 once! And turning 21 in Chile probably would suck. I wouldn't know, nor do I want to know! Then I have one of my favorite events on the 13th of June. Tour de Soo!!!! Yeah I bet you don't know what that is! I'll explain of course. The Tour de Soo is a bike ride. From my parent's house to my Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike's house. And of course it is on the Soo Line. (An old railway now converted into a biking, walking, rollarblading, snowmobiling, and abosolutely NO ATVs trail. I have only done the Tour once. The first year they did it. It was great. My aunt ziptied her ipod to the front of her bike with some little speakers. A couple people we pulling those kiddy carts, of course without kids. They each had a cooler full of fun in them. Yeah. We looked pretty damn cool biking in cutoffs, helmetless, and holding a Mike's Hard in one hand and the handle bars in the other. My favorite was when a "serious" biker would ride by. This kind with them butttight padded in the ass shorts, a helmet that is pointed in the back, a special bike that probably costed more than I make in a month, and a stunned look when they see us pedaling away drinking. Which by the way is illegal. Anyways, a bbq follows the Tour and of course more drinking and fun! June 19th is when I think I am having a party for my B-day, a combined one with my cousin who is one day younger than me. The day after that, if I live will be my cousin Samantha's grad party. The a picnic at my grandparent's place for Father's day. And before I know it, June will be over!

In July of course there will be fireworks and whatnot around the 4th. I'm kind of happy is falls of a Saturday this year!! I don't have much planned for July, yet. Hopefully I will be able to put in a lot of hours working in July. One Sunday in July is the family picnic at the lake, but I don't know what one it is yet. That will be fun! I can't wait to swim in the lakes!! :o) Holdingford Days is in July too, so there will be a street dance and it'll be fun to see some old faces!

I suppose I should say that I am going to go through all my stuff and compact it more, but I will probably not do this even if I want to or my mom wants me to, I will push it off and probably not even do it at all...that's just me for ya! August. August August August. What will happen in August? At the moment, I am not sure yet. There are a certain few things booked for August, but a certain girl and her husband have an empty bank account and my secret stash disappear last time I was in the states. SO if our original plans for August 8th don't happen, it will only be because of money. But that of course does not mean we can't go to Winnie!!! Ah Lake Winnibigoshish, yeah try and say it! Our annual camping trip! A camping trip that has taken place since I was about 6 or 7. Every single year this takes place, and I have not been there for 3 years!!! I love the place, it brings back memories and always gives us a chance to make new ones. I can't wait to take my husband on this trip. I can't wait to sleep in a tent, wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach below, and of course S'MORES!!! Mmmmmmm!! Roasting marshmellows to the perfect toasty tan and puffy all over deliciousness!! Melted Hershey's, graham crackers!!! My mouth is watering! Of course I am also looking forward to fishing. And eating the fresh fish! Mmmmmm!!! There will also be waterskiing, something I haven't done since I broke our old 70s wooden skis about 2 maybe it was even 3 years ago! And tubing behind the boat I can't wait!!
September, I don't have anything planned besides my cousin Aaron's wedding on the 19th. So I will probably work as much as I can so we have extra cash so we can get an apartment as soon as we get back to Chile. September will be a sad month. Ro and I will have to decide if we are going to leave Zoe in the US or take her with us. Of course me being selfish and loving her so much, I will want to bring her back here, but in the back of my mind, I know she is happy there in MN playing with Bailey all day everyday. By bringing her back here, I will be taking away her freedom. She won't have space to run around as much as she does in the US. I can't wait for MY summer!!! Ahhhh MY summer. Lipton ice tea, burgers on the grill, potato salad, and sweet corn....MY summer!

We Need, a Getaway! But Where To??? Viña....maybe!!!

Easter is coming up, and I have been thinking and talking with the husband and I think we are going away for Easter. I hope. Where should we go? We need a place that isn't too far away, something that isn't going to take a long uncomfortable bus ride away. So we are thinking Viña. I have never been there and have wanted to go for a long time. Now we just have to find out a few things, a nice, safe, comfortable, and affordable hotel, places to eat, and things to see.
I am excited especially after my depressing Easter experience last year.....spaghetti for Easter dinner....didn't take much to kill the holiday for me. So far nobody knows. I am pretty sure MIL will have a gigantic cow and try to make us not go our own separate way, but I am putting my foot down. We ARE going away, we need it. A little getaway will be nice for both of us. We need some time away from the family, time to figure ourselves out and time to talk about the future, my husbands least favorite topic and lately my favorite. Not because I like talking about the future, but because I need to know what I have to mentally prepare myself for.
Since I have never been to Viña, and most of my gringa readers have, I am asking for your help and suggestions. If anyone wants to help us let us know about good hotels, restaurants and attractions, please do so!! I am excited to finally get out of this city and get away from the family for a bit!!! Can't wait!! Thanks!!

If I Had Millions of Dollars...

I'd be rich!!!
Ok so kind of a lame post, but I just read about 10 people that won 216 MILLION dollars in the lottery!!! 216 MILLION!!!! So just for fun and because its a dreamy sort of day today I will write down my daydream.
First of all if I had 21 million dollars, I would buy a house. I would buy a nice big red house in Las Condes. It will be a 2 story brick house with ivy growing up the walls. There will be a gate in the front, an oldish looking steel gray gate and it will be way in front of the house. Way up close to the street. Of course there will be a yard in the front and in the back. I will have two nice trees in the front, one lemon tree, and one orange tree. I will have rose bushes up close to the house all across the front. There will be a garage right next to the house and inside it will be a brand new Honda Civic Hybrid, a silver one! In the back yard there will be a nice sized pool, long enough to swim laps and it will be an in ground pool. We will have a place to have asados, a nice tiled area with the giant propane grill that Rodrigo wants. We will also have one of those oven outside so I can make bread and cake and chocolate chip cookies and whatever else I am in the mood to make. There will also be trees in the backyard some nice climbing trees for the future children to climb up and make me worry like a mother should! (The only reason I would worry is because my sister once got stuck up in a tree because she climbed up to a spot where she couldn't get down, this also happened to my brother although he was older than my sis when she got stuck and of course I had my camera at that time and still have the pictures to laugh at!) There will also be a tree where we can hang a swing. There will also be a clothes line that I will use only for drying towels, sheets, blankets, and table cloths, (I will have real table cloths, not the plastic kind.) There will also be one of those sheds that look like a mini barn that everyone has in MN, where I will store bikes, kids toys, camping stuff, the box full of Christmas decorations, etc... I will have a nice big garden with cucumbers, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, straberries, pumpkin, watermelons, carrots, and green beans. The house will be beautiful!!
Inside there will be 6 bedrooms. I may not need them now, but if I have a million dollars I should be able to have 5 kids!!! Since I don't have 5 kids now, there will be 3 guest rooms, a room for me to have a sewing machine so I can make comfy pjs that are long enough for me and other things that I like to do. I can't remember what I like to do when I have my own space...I'll have to dream this up later. There will also be a room for Rodrigo's guitars and his other hobbies...if he has any or gets anymore. Then the other room will be for books! There will be shelves and shelves of books. An entire set of World Book, the newest version possible, dictionaries, fiction books, fairy tales, Eric Carle books, anything and everything. Then we will have 2 guest rooms. One will be a black and white them and the other will be a sunflower themed room. Each with a big bed and a little table under the window where I can put a vase of fresh flowers. Of course when we have our first child, I will paint the room according to the sex, I am not one of those yellow is a neutral color people. If I have a girl I will paint the room yellow or light purple if its a boy I will paint the room baby blue or baby green. There will be a HUGE kitchen! HUGE HUGE HUGE!! I will have a nice big oak table right in front of a big window. There will be an island and lots of cupboard space. The refridgerator will be normal size, not this tiny shit they ahve here. There will always be ice cream and Eggo Waffles in the freezer. Always! I will have a big big big stovetop and an oven big enough to bake 2 things at a time. I will have a coffee maker, a toaster that can hold four slices of toast, and a dishwasher! Oh a dishwasher! :o) We will have a nice big open living room with big comfy suade couch. We will have a nice size TV, but not a huge one. There will also be at least 2 bathrooms. Each with a nice big bath and a big mirror with a row of light bulbs above it so I can actually see what I am doing when I curl my hair!
I will also by a house and land in the US. The house will be exactly the same as the other house except there will be a big shed with a boat, 2 four wheelers, 2 snowmobiles, a riding lawn mower, and a place to put a big wooden picnic table and the grill for the winter. There will also be an outdoor hot tub.
Of course I will set my family up nice. I will open a college account and savings account for each kid. Then maybe we will travel the world. Go everywhere see everything. Rodrigo has a huge list of places he wants to go. Then I will donate and donate til I have maybe just 2 million left. I don't know what I will do with the rest of it but I'm sure I can dream up something!!!
Ok, now back to work, back to my real life. :o)

Babies....babies and MORE babies!!

Maybe it is just because soon I will be an auntie and because one of my best friends just had a baby, but everywhere I go now, I see babies, and lots of them everywhere. Its like my eyes are on baby mode and every possible baby within 100 yards I see. Baby vision... until comig to Santiago I have never ever been anywhere where I constantly see babies. I find it odd that here also the mothers bring their babies out and a about almost immediately after popping them out. Personally if I had a baby, I am pretty sure I would stay in the house as much as possible, and would only go out with the baby to visit. I would never bring my 3 or 4 day old baby to the mall. Never! Here I have seen everything!! Well maybe not everything, but I have seen a lot. I have seen a couple walking into the mall, the dad holding the baby, and the diaper bag and the mother waddling in like she was still prego. It pained me to watch her actually, it looked as though she was super tired and that walking around was killing her. I have seen new couples sitting on benches in the mall trying to get the kid to latch on. I have seen babies that are maybe a month old riding around in one of them mall strollers. For one the stroller was way to big and second they didn't roll up a blanket or anything to support the baby so it was kind of just sitting there all slumped over and when they turned, the baby would slump to the other side. I have seen the mom hand over the baby to the dad and he just stood there like he was concentrating on not dropping the thing. He wasn't even able to walk with the baby in his arms. I have seen breastfeeding everywhere, everywhere, collectivos, buses, benches, in the metro, everywhere! I have seen mothers feed their babies chocolate milk and strawberry milk even before the kid can walk. It might not be bad, but to me I just think of the added sugar in the milk and how had it would be for a baby tummy to digest it! I have seen, in the winter, babies so bundled up that all you see is their eyes and a small part of their chubby cheeks and those cheeks were bright red, like the kid was way too hot!
Now after I have seen all these things, they may or may not be normal, but I would never ever do any of those things. And, this worries me. When I actually do have kids will people around think I am neglecting my kid if I have it lightly dressed to fit the weather? Will it be a serious problem if I don't get my daughter/s ears pierced before they are even a month old?? Will people think I am crazy if I make RO go do the grocery shopping by himself until the baby is at least a month old?? I just don't think people here will be able to swallow the way I would raise a kid.

Now on to the topic of being an auntie!!! Can't wait!!
2 weeks or so left and my sister will have her first baby, a little girl. And where will I be?? Not close enough to go visit her in the hospital...not even close enough to visit her the next day. I will be here. I think that adding to the fact that depression season is right around the corner this will just add to it! The kid will obviously be spoiled by Ro and I. I will be the godmother so of course I will have to buy it lots of unnecessary things...DUH!! I have already made her a blanket, did I mention I can crochet?? Well I can. I made the blanket last year in November or so and my skills have greatly improved since then, so I will probably be making a new one that is fancier. You can never have too many baby blankets! And I am on the lookout for one of those little sweaters you can buy here with the little animals on them. I have seen a few, but all the ones I have seen are for a kid of at least 3 years. Oh well, its not like I don't have time.... But anyways, I am excited, I can't wait for the call to my cell phone! I can't wait to ask 10 fingers, 10 toes?? But mostly I can't wait to see and hold this little bundle of joy! I am very excited that I will have 3 months with her before I come back here. Very very excited!! Alright, enough about babies and my excitement! Back to work!

Here IT Comes... plus ranting!

Fall!! I love fall!!! I absolutely hate being in this city for what follows, but for now I will enjoy the cool weather. The metro is still hotter than hell in the morning, so that means when I go to work, I throw on a sweater, take it off in the subway and put it back on when resurfacing. You can't really see anything changing yet, besides the crownds of people that now fill the city because sadly vacations are over and now people actually have to work. Oh, and all the kids in their school uniforms walking around, those lucky kids with their discounted metro passes!!!

In our house it only means one thing. Rodrigo and I are no longer the only ones in the house. MIL and SIL are back...so far, it sucks! Of course Mickey is also back which is kind of fun. I really really miss Zoe, so Mickey is exciting to see waddle around the house. For those of you who don't know, Mickey is SIL's Yorkie pup...also the future boyfriend of my little beauty Zoe!! I don't like living in a crowded house. I don't like my bedroom ransacked and a certain MIL walking in whenever she feels like it, always with an excuse....I am coming to get the garbage (for the second time today?? GO AWAY!!)...Rodrigo will you do this and this and this for Rocio?...(she's 18 she can do it herself, you trusted her by buying her a computer, if she is going to fuck it up all the time get a fucking computer tech you can call, not my husband!)...Let me just take these sheets off your bed (of course don't ask when I last washed them, because even if I washed them last week its not good enough for you!)...come in to see if there is anyuthing on the floor or chair that you can just take and wash (Don't even ask if it is clean or dirty, assume we simply can't survive without you, so that means every item of clothing we own is dirty!)
Yeah....way to ruin the fall season!!

If you are wondering why we don't just move out, here is my list of reasons why we can't.
1. My husband is NOT working, yeah that's right he doesn't have a job, and my income isn't enough to afford rent plus the plane tickets to the US. (for those of you who want to know why he doesn't have a job....your guess is as good as mine apparently he is waiting for replies....
2. We aren't even going to be in Stgo that much longer for right now, so 3 months of rent is wasted money.
3. MIL doesn't want us to leave. "Who is going to take care of us???"
4. My husband doesn't have a job! NO JOB!! NOT WORKING!! I WAKE UP AT 6:30 IN THE MORNING TO GO TO WORK TO PAY FOR THE STUFF WE NEED AND HE LIES IN BED TIL WHO KNOWS WHEN. Therefore we can't afford it!
Nice list huh??

Did I mention that my husband doesn't have a job?? Maybe I should write a list of his "excuses"
1. There aren't any jobs where I can make more that 150,000 a month and I'm not going to work all day everyday for less than 150,000.
2. I am waiting to hear back from places, I sent out my CV to like 20 places and nobody has replied.
3. I can't work at ________ or ________ because BS BS BS BS BS BS.
4. These places have seasons, and they won't be hiring until April.

And Ah yes, Rodrigo is going to be getting a tourist visa to go to the US.
Would anyone like to ask how his visa process is going??
I wouldn't ask if I was you. Here's a checklist of what needs to be done, an X where that task is taken care of.
--Call the embassy to get an appointment for interview.
--Get papers and documents to prove this: • The purpose of their trip is to enter the U.S. for business or pleasure;
• That they plan to remain for a specific, limited period;
• That they have a residence outside the U.S. as well as other binding obligations which will insure their return abroad at the conclusion of the visit.
--Form DS-156 completed on-line and printed.
--Receipt from Chilexpress showing payment of the $131.
--An unmounted full face photograph taken within the past six months that meets Embassy photograph requirements.
Any supporting documents.
--letter from permanent employer(oooo this may be tough!),
--a letter from his colege stating that he has to return for study,
--papers to show the ownership of certain things such as taxis and whatnot that are in his name,
--letter from wife's employer stating that the wife will return to work on certain date.
Note: this info was taken from the Embassy page.
There you go. Notice the high number of X's!!

My ranting is done and just so you know, I love my husband very very much, but nothing I seem to do motivates him in anyway whatsoever to get shit in order.

Sometimes I Wake Up and Randomly Miss...

...antique stores, flea markets, mostly Savers!
I never was a shopping kind of person. Well, not the kind that actually spent money, the kind that went and looked for nothing in particular and found something so amazing that I HAD to get it. Of course most of my buys were something old, used, unusual, and absolutely beautiful. I really miss my little trips to different little shops for no particular reason.
Lately I have been thinking about old glass bottles in interesting shapes and sizes, some sort of cool hair piece to wear at my wedding, a cool old hippie crocheted doily or table cloth, and of course the usual old candles and wax. I have tons of wax packed away somewhere at my parents house, tons of odd looking wax melting gadgets, tons of pop cans that have been carefully cleaned and the tops cut off, wicks, and other candle making tools. I would never ever buy wax or candle making supplies here, but I really do miss making candles! The glass bottles are for two things. I would like to find some small ones of clear glass to use as decorations at my wedding reception. They need to have a big enough mouth to hold a bunch of daisies. I am also looking for a large bottle of an interesting shape and clear glass to be used to hold our unity sand. I am kind of excited to be back in the US for the summer, garage sale season!! But if I could find a few different stores here to look for something interesting, and if my hubby would be willing to go with me....big IF, what husband would want to go antique-ing?? And lastly the hippie crocheting doily/table cloth would be for the top of our dresser. Now that I have a piece of furniture made of real wood, I want to keep it nice, and something to put on the top of it would keep it from getting scratched. Maybe after I get my first paycheck I can go looking for an antique shop and buy myself a reward. Not like getting a first paycheck again needs a reward, but it has been awhile since I have bought anything for myself...not counting the miracle whip and kool aid I bought in the states.
If anyone knows of any really cool antique stores in Santiago let me know PLEASE!!
