You know how I was so freaking excited to go to the US. Well, now I am worried. We have NO money. That job that my husband had, the one where he brought in all of his papers and they were making a pass for him to get into the airport and everything, well they said, "We'll call you." They never called. Ro called them, but to me it sounds fucked up that every single time he called no matter the time, the boss, "was in a meeting." So I guess that turned into a no go. Ro had an interview this morning to work in a mall restaurant. He got the, "We'll call you." I really hope this time they call. We need the money. We need it freaking badly!! I hope it is easy for me to find a job when I am in the US. Hopefully I will at least get a part time job, I am really hoping to get a full time job.
Besides that, we really need another bag. A big luggage bag. And they aren't cheap here at all. The one I really wanted was at the Saxoline store and we looked at it a few months ago. Ro already has one exactly the same as the one I want. We went back about 2 weeks ago, and they are sold out!! The only ones left in Chile are in Concepcion!! No way we can go there just for a bag!! I also looked at HEAD and there was another that was similar to the one that Ro has. It is pretty much a HUGE duffel bag with a suitcase sort of compartment underneath it. And it has wheels. The only problem? I can't quite make myself fork out $120 for a piece of luggage.
Ugh...why does money always catch up to me. I can never get ahead! I always get ahead and then when everything looks good, I just fall behind again.
If anyone has a HUGE bag/suitcase that they want to sell or are willing to let Ro and I borrow until we return in September please let us know!! Or if you know anyone that is trying to sell one please let us know!!! Thank you!!!

Try Estacion Central for the bags. There are a lot of stores in and around the station that sell cheap ones. They're probably not as well made as Saxoline, though.
And about the jobs, has your husband tried calling back himself? Sometimes companies are so busy that being proactive helps...
I guess right now I am just looking for cheap and as long as it doesn't completely bust open I will be happy.
And yeah, Rodrigo called about 20 times...every single time he called the boss, "was in a meeting." He had an interview yesterday and he said it went good, so now we are waiting for a call from that.
Thanks for bag advice.
hello, i have a really big bag (im talking big) and wont be using it before december at the earliest. i would be happy to let you guys use it. the only problem is that i live in valparaiso. let me know if i can help you out :)
I know it sounds kind of white trashy but we used a big duck taped cardboard box when we traveled to europe. It worked, and we tied ropes around so you could carry. Good luck
Also, we are going to LF next weekend, how much do I owe you for sweaters??
Emilyta, that would help, but I have no idea how we would get it from Valpo to Stgo!! I don't plan on leaving the city until we take off the 2nd of June...Maybe we can work something out.
Tiff, I guess I could try using a big cardboard box...they have this thing that pretty much completely wraps your bag or whatever in well...saranwrap pretty much. I guess I could try that. I know I have a larger suitcase in MN that I will be able to bring back down here.
