We MOVED!!!! Finally! Well, actually we moved a week ago, I just have been too busy to put up a post! I have been busy because it was a three family move. Ro's parents and sister moved out of the house we were all sharing so we had to help them move, then Ro and I moved out of that house into this one. Before we even got settled in this house (not quite there yet!) we had to help Ro's aunt, uncle, gramma, and two cousins move into the house we were just living in. Yeap, lots of moving, lots of helping. Although most of my helping was to watch over the little 18 month old cousin. So here we are! In our nice 2 bedroom house. We have the downstairs organized and the only thing left to do down there is hook up the washer and for some reason that has been causing problems... something about the faucets that are supposed to hook up to the washer not being the right kind. I say just change the damn faucets, but everyone says why change them if you can find the attachment parts... somewhere. Well, we haven't found that somewhere yet. So, no washer and a mountain of dirty clothes. Our house looks a bit pathetic right now. We don't even have a couch. We have a "pouf" as Ro calls it, just your average bean bag chair and we also have this foam thing that Ro sits on... it can be folded out into a bed. I am pretty sure it is some kind of common child's room accessory. So, our first big purchase for this place will most definitely be to buy a living room set. We have a beautiful old table and chairs set. I love it and I am so glad we found such a great deal, 70,000 chp for the table and six chairs! We are very grateful of the gifts that family has given us for our new place. His grandma bought us a washing machine and it came with a free microwave. We also received a medicine cabinet type thing and a little "balon de gas" from his aunt and uncle. My parents bought us, well me, a kitchen in a box set for my birthday so we have everything basic that we need for the kitchen. His parents gave us their old fridge and stove and his dad is going to buy the paint for painting the downstairs. It is going to be so nice once everything is finished. The upstairs of our little house is still a mess. Our room is pretty big and we have our dresser and bed organized and set up. We have two closets, neither of them in our room, but one is going to be for me and the other for Ro. The closet in the extra room also has a big storage space above it, so Ro will have that place to put all the crap I told him I didn't want in our house. Like his bag full of random cables for charging things, old phones, old phone lines, old cable boxes, crap that I would have thrown directly in the trash because it just takes up space. He also insisted on bringing a broken keyboard, not a computer one the musical kind. It is missing 17 keys and doesn't work. Why he needs something like that, I have no idea, but he insists that he can get it to work...not that that will matter because of all the keys missing. After moving I realized just how must stuff we have. I am trying to get the clothes organized because we have all of our summer clothes packed into our suitcases. Sigh... we have way too many suitcases. Hopefully I can get everything put away in the closets and we put the smaller suitcases inside each other and store them under our bed. It will take some time, but eventually our little house will be a home. : )
*If anyone knows a good place to buy material for a good deal, please let me know! The back door needs a curtain ASAP walking past it to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night creeps me out!!
