Don't Have a Job, but I Still Have Skills!!!!

I have my visa, but Ro and I have made the decision that I won't be working until I come back to Chile in July. We have also made the cheaper decision with my return flight. We are buying for the first time from Spirit Air and I will be flying out of Chicago to Lima, Peru where my hubby and his friend will be waiting for me. And we will spend a few days in Peru sightseeing and whatnot. Since Ro found a really good deal on the tickets for him to and from Lima and for my ticket from Lima to Santiago even after hotels and food, we will still be saving about 300 bucks as opposed to buying me a ticket from Minneapolis to Santiago. Saving money always makes me happy :o) And even though I know if I would just fly from Lima to Santiago by myself would save even more money I am happy that when Ro and I are back together in July after a month and a half of being apart we will be having a little bit of a vacation together. And he deserves a vacation just as much as I do. So, now I am going to use my skills to try and make a little bit of money because it has always been a dream of Ro's to go to Machu Picchu and it would be great if I could make enough money for us to go to Cusco by bus from Lima and take the train to Machu Picchu. What are my skills?? Well, I know how to crochet, true I haven't been doing it for hundreds of years like little old ladies have been, but I am pretty good. Since it is quite chilly here in Chile and I found a free afghan crochet pattern ebook online  I think I will start to make some and sell them. So if anyone likes any of the patterns and would like an afghan, I would love to make one for you!! I don't know how to knit, so the last 4 patterns in the ebook I can't make. If you find any other crochet pattern online, there are a lot of sites with free patterns like this one that you like I can probably make that too. Just email me at shannon dot kasella at gmail dot com. We can discuss the yarn colors, yarn type and price. Thanks!

apparently bussing between lima and cuzco isnt as quick and easy as it looks on a map. i paid 69$ one way in plane in the end. maybe you could find a deal that makes it worth it.

sounds fun! im glad its all working out

I agree with Lydia. I haven't gone yet, but I hear it's hard to find a bus. A couple of friends of mine found tickets for around $180-$300.

Anyway, you sound much more upbeat. Maybe that's because of your impending trip? Have fun!

Oh, would you mind changing your blog roll to my new blog? :)

Lydia, thanks I will check into the plane tickets for when we actually do go to Peru, apparently RO would rather have our dog here (I don't mind :P) than to go to Peru this year. So we had to get a regular MSP to SCL plane ticket... boo! But YAY for my puppy coming back to her country!!

Sara, I am super stoked to be going back to MN for another bit of summer!!! I changed my blog roll to your new blog already. I didn't delete your old blog, if you want it off I can take it off ;)
