Our First Step as Husband and Wife

Since we are now married, we have decided that we need to come up with a budget plan, or as Ro calls it a chart. I think the whole sharing money thing is going to be the toughest thing to do. Ro is currently working at a new casino here in Santiago. He hasn't worked yet, but he is gone everyday for "classes" to train him and make him into a barman/waiter. It makes me excited that we will have 2 regular incomes and the agency on the side. With that, we have to start a plan to save up for Ro's plane ticket, the visa application fee, and first months rent in the US. Since we live with Ro's parents, we don't have to pay rent, but somehow we spend ridiculous amounts of money in a very short period of time. Our main goal now is to be able to have fun, but not spend so much money doing it. We also have to think of Zoe, because she needs shots and everything else to get into the US. Suddenly my "high" for Chile salary seems like nothing to me. I wish I would have saved a lot more in the past few months. Since my ticket back to the US is on October 30th, I will also have to change that so that I can leave in December with Rodrigo after we have our interview in the US Embassy. And since I won't be working November and December, things are going to get stressful!
Other than that, married life is very much the same as when we were just boyfriend and girlfriend, I can't wait for that to change because the will mean we have our own place! Plus the real church wedding will make everything feel real. That's all for now, read tomorrow when the blogging group topic is Chilean Women. Check Kyle's blog for a list of everyone participating!!
