Flights! Flights!! Flights!!!

The like always bittersweet time has come again. Back to Chile I go. So, searching for flights begins. I don't have enough money to buy a ticket directly from any airline so I search everywhere. Any cheapo site, I look at. So, far the cheapest cheapest in my budget is an insane 28 hour total trip time. A flight from Minnesota to LA for a 2 hour layover, LA to Costa Rica for a 6 and a half hour layover, then Costa Rica to Chile. The next cheapest, but at the top of my budget is only 19 hours total trip time. MN to Miami, 6 and a half hours in Miami, Miami to Lima, then Lima to Stgo. So, there you have it... I have 2 choices. Do I suck it up and take the lengthy flight to save a little bit of money? Or do I go for the shorter flight for a little extra $$??

If anyone knows any good or really bad sites to book tickets off, please let me know!!! : D

Well, I better get packing!!!

When you fly 24+ hours in a plane, how many meals do they give you? I hope you find a comfortable plane!

Marmo, for that flight that I was looking at, I think there was 1 flight with a meal, the rest just had snack... I would have had to buy some food at one of the 3 airports I was supposed to stop in.

sidestep.com is a good one because it compares many flights.

I've done those routes... the six hours in Costa Rica might get a little boring, but also the airport in Lima is tiny and you usually get there late, late at night or early in the AM.

Good luck :)
