Here we are!!! Finally we are in Minnesota and I have a few minutes where I want to write!! I'll start out with how our trip went and tell you a couple things we have enjoyed since getting here.
The trip was pretty good, we got to the airport at a perfect time, we didn't have to wait too long to board the plane and we weren't in any kind of hurry. It was great. The first flight went pretty good, it was a bit bumpy when we got closer to Panama, but other than that it was good. In panama there were a lot of people wearing masks and handing out papers telling you how to keep yourself from getting sick. We also had to fill out a paper telling if we have had any kind of symptom and whatnot. I didn't sleep very much on the first flight, luckily Ro and I were able to get seats together and it was a 3 by 3 plane and we had 3 seats for the 2 of us. Ro got a bit of sleep on that flight, I was just too excited. The second flight was a bit rougher. There was a lot of turbulence. Ro and I got lucky again and were able to change our seats so we could sit by each other again. I nodded off a bit and leaned on Ro and woke up with sore teeth. When we arrived in Texas, we knew we had to get through border patrol pretty quickly, but I really wasn't expecting there to be such a HUGE freaking line!!! So, unluckily we missed our flight from Houston to Minneapolis. We got our flight changed and had to wait just a few hours for the next flight and again, we got seats together!!! I was glad, I know I wouldn't have liked knowing Ro was on the plane, but we weren't able to sit by each other. Our seats were right behind first class, so we had lots of leg room and had 3 seats for the 2 of us. I slept a lot on this short flight. In fact, we boarded the plane at 6:25 and I fell asleep before we even took off. Of course we sure had a long wait because I woke up from my nap and we still hadn't taken off at 7:45!!! Finally we got to MN!! My mom and brothers came to get us. It was a snug ride in a car with all 5 of us and not enough room in the trunk for all our luggage!! It really felt like it took FOREVER to drive the hour and a half from the airport to our house!
We finally got home and there was our little angel!!! I was so happy to see her!! My brother let her out of the house and she came running to me. She was wagging, peeing and crying the whole short jog she had from the door to the car!! I was soooo happy that she remembered me!!! Ro, I am not sure she remembered him right away, but I think she knows who he is now, but she stayed by me the whole time. My sister was waiting on the couch...sleeping hahaha, we got home late! And of course I went against the never wake a sleeping baby rule and went in to hug and kiss Evalie. She is beautiful!! She just whined for a quick second and I put her nuk back in her mouth and she dozed back off to sleep. I didn't want to keep her awake or disturb her too much because I knew I had to babysit her the next day.
Evi slept til like 6:30 I kind of figured she would wake up early, but it really didn't bother me because when I woke up I was too excited to go back to sleep anyways! So I fed her a bottle and let her giggle and talk to me for a bit, little cutie!! She only stayed up for a little bit in the morning and I put her down for her morning nap. Then I started feeling it and brought her and her swing into the room Ro and I are staying in and I crawled back under the covers with Ro. I was actually surprised to get in a 3 hour nap!! Then I fed her again and we went for a walk and she fell asleep again. I showed Ro around our land and Zoe and Bailey came with us. We came back COVERED in wood ticks!! Ro doesn't like them at all!! hahah! My brothers, Ro, Evi, and I went to town to visit my grandma. She was excited to meet Ro. We then went to Walmart and met my aunt Sarah there and we decided to go to her house for dinner. Burgers on the grill and corn on the cob!!!! YUM!!!! Then we went to "help" catch the fat chickens. I tried to get one, but after the bottom of my shoe was covered in crap, I gave up because of the slipperiness! We made a few Works bombs. One was great!! We had a 3 liter pop bottle and we put the Works and tinfoil in it and covered it with a 5 gallon bucket just to see how high it would go. We were all thinking maybe 10 feet or so.....YEAH right! That thing flew about 30 feet into the air, it was pretty frickin cool!!! Ro met my dad that night because he was sleeping when we got home from the airport and he left for work at the butt crack of dawn when we were still sleeping. Today, we slept in a bit. It was my youngest brother Carl's last day of school and he only had a half day so when he came home we took Zoe on the four wheeler with us and Bailey followed. We went down to the creek and I really wish I would have been able to get in on video!! Bailey, the black lab, jumped right into the water. And to our surprise Zoe followed her. Zoe hasn't really been in water very much, Ro and I threw her into the pool in Chile a few times just to watch her swim around. We didn't think she liked it! But she ran into that water after Bailey and pretty much swam around for 20 minutes!! She followed wherever Bailey went, when she could. Sometimes she got stuck in the current and couldn't make her way to Bailey, but she enjoyed it. She ran all the way back to the house behind the four wheeler. We had to go into town again today to get some things to decorate for Ryan's grad party on Saturday. We had a fire tonight and it was great. There aren't many out yet, but you can spot a few lightning bugs flying around in the trees. Now I am beat and I really need to go to bed because Evalie went to sleep at like 8 and there's no way she will be sleeping in in the morning!!! Tomorrow is Ryan's graduation ceremony and a few more of my relatives will be meeting Ro!! I think I will have him make a post on here about what he thinks of Minnesota because he had never been here before now! Goodnight!!!!
