Montana, Part II

Where was I??
Okay so I had just moved to Montana, that in itself was an interesting trip, I rode with my mom and my two brothers in my Lincoln Continental. At the time Mom and I were the only ones that could drive. We take off at about 10pm and drove straight through the night. Overall it was a good trip til oh say 5am when my car started over heating. Then my front window fell all the way down and I had to drive in the freezing mountain morning with cold air blowin in my face. So I moved into an apartment with Scott. It was a nice place. A great first place to live without the parents. We were maybe 6 or 7 blocks away from campus. I started with classes and was only taking 2 the first semester. (Out of state tuition is not cheap!) I was taking a literature class and a Philosophy class. They went great. I worked hard in my classes, I even got a few As on some English papers. Of course I did well on my quizzes in Philosophy. Anyways back to just moving in. It was great, Scott took me to meet his friends, the first group was crazy and scary. But when we went to Clint and Pennie's for the first time, I was excited. I had heard about them and I had also heard that Pennie's little sister Syd had just moved in with them and she was my age. So I went there and met them. Wayne, Scott's brother was also there with his fiance Andi and Ally and Adam some other friends were there. I of course was shy, but still had fun. I ended up hanging out with them a lot for the rest of the summer. Scott and I went to Helena with Clint and Pennie to hang out with Wayne. What a fun weekend! We went to a river and swung out of a tree into the river. Not the normal rope swing. We had to climb about 15 feet up into the tree and stand on a platform and swing out over the river. Scary! Clint, Scott, and Wayne all went. Pennie went up the tree and stood there and then I went up and stood there with her. Finally I sucked it up and jumped! Yeah so when you are swinging that high up the only thing going through your mind is to keep holding onto the rope. Nothing goes through your mind telling you to lift your legs...anyways, feet hit the water I came to a sudden stop and pretty sure my shirt, bra, everything went up up up!!! After I quickly recovered from the shock, I covered myself and decided NOT to jump again. Knowing what I know now, I would have jumped one more time, just to make the day more memorable. Anyways, it was fun. Back in Bozeman, it was my number one priority to find a job. I applied at about 6 places and only got a call back from Perkins. They wanted me as a hostess and offered $5 and hour. I said I would get back to them. Looking for something better, and knowing that McDonalds was hiring I went in and talked to the store manager. He was nice and offered me the job without a application. I went to orientation that same day. Oh and in case it makes the story more interesting, I was offered a trial period of $8 and if I made it through that they would bump it up to $9 an hour. So I started working at McDonalds. That is a story in itself.

To be continued......
