I suppose people want to know how my trip went, see pictures, and whatnot. So I guess that's what I'll give you. I'll start off with the day before take off! I packed everything and as I was packing Zoe fell asleep in my suitcase on top of Ro's winter jacket. It was very cute, but I don't think she realized at the time that I was leaving. While I was in MN, I went online and talked to her through the mic, and saw her through the webcam. She had no idea what was going on. She did the little head tilt thing that is freaking adorable and her little tail was wagging away! The flight to Atlanta was crappy. I sat right in front of the steward station, where they heat up the food. And because of that my seat didn't recline back. I popped a few Benadryl and dozed off into an uncomfortable sleep. Then I watched the movie which I don't know what it was, but it reminded me of Superbad, only a super lame version with Owen Wilson in it. I could have stopped watching, but its one of those movies where its so lame you just keep watching to see the end. The layover in Atlanta sucked only because it felt like it took forever. But I had a chai tea latte and a muffin and waited impatiently. My friend picked me up in Minneapolis and we drove to St. Cloud. We went to Shopko to see if my sister was working and ran into my mom instead. That night my friends and I had a camp out in the back yard. First we went to the lake for a quick dip before the sun went down. We sat around the fire and tipped back a few beers with an old classmate. It was a good night. The next day I just hung out at home. We were supposed to go to the lake to fish, tube and swim, but it was raining. I went out with a couple friends to see the fireworks that night and went home early. Sunday, one of my favorite days! We had family pictures taken at my grandparents house. It was a lot of fun to see everyone again. It would have been cooler if everyone would have been there though. The food was awesome!!! There's nothing like a cookout in the summer when I have been living in the winter. Cheeseburgers over the fire, potato salad, and watermelon!! Mmmmm!! Monday I went to Little Falls and had lunch with my mom and grandma. It was good!! I had a whole lot of what I was missing!! And a piece of banana cream pie that I couldn't finish. We went to Walmart and I spent a lot of money!! I had to buy a new suitcase because one of mine lost a foot on the way to Santiago and it drives me insane that I can't just stand it up! I also had to buy a dog carrier that was airline approved for Zoe when I bring her back in October. The rest was on presents and junk for Ro. My grandma also bought me 2 books for my late birthday present! I picked out My Sister's Keeper and Twilight. It was fun to spend time with my mom and grandma. After that I went to my aunt's and babysat my cousins. We lounged around in the pool and had some frozen pizza and tater tots for supper. Issy, the little one fell asleep at the supper table. I will post the video another day. My aunt cut my hair. I can't believe how much needed to be cut off. I would guess that 4 inches was chopped off in some places. Tuesday I went to work with my mom and had my teeth cleaned. No cavities as usual, in case anyone cares. After that we met my sister for lunch at Subway then went home. Wednesday I hung out with my brothers and my mom got off work early so we met my aunt and 7 of my cousins at the lake and hung out there. I did get a tan while I was there!! Thursday I stayed home all day and just hung out with my brothers. My mom brought me to Hutch to meet my friend's sister. I stayed at their place in Mankato that night and we went to the Appleriver the next day. It rained when we got there, but it didn't last long. Margie, Becky and I played a few drinking games to pass the time. Saturday we floated the river. It was so much fun! I sunburned my nose and legs, bruised my toe pretty bad, and had a really good time. We went home on Sunday and my Aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandma came over for a fish fry/bbq. I met my little cousin Kade for the first time. He is so cute! We played around all day and had a fire that night with Tiff, Brian and the kids. Monday I packed up and Mom took me to the airport. I wish I would have had a few more days, but I am thankful that I got some in the first place. Well there's the whole story. I'll keep posting pictures until they are all up.

hey! looks like you had a lot of fun on your trip back home, i'm glad!! i'm definitely getting excited about coming back to Santiago... tomorrow is my last day at this crappy job, and i couldn't be happier about that! i'm not sure where i'll be living in Stgo yet, but Diego said he and his family were going to help me look for an apartment or whatever, so hopefully i can find something reasonably priced. What kind of job are you looking for, teaching English or something else? Oh, and you're not a loser - oatmeal can be really good comfort food, especially in the crappy Chilean winter! :)
